The life cycle of Container shipping (1955-2020)

According to the life-cycle economic theory, the development of an innovative achievement in the transport sector made thru five successive cycles or phases: introduction, growth, maturity and decline. (Nakicenovic 1987)

The Life-cycle of Container Shipping (Table 1) below was based in the above theory, thru it I intend to reveal the life-cycle of Container Shipping in the global trade, recording the container system in each of the above phases and attempting an estimate for the future, specific we have:
